Franklin Precision Castings (FPC) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support our accounting and payroll functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible primarily for accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry and biweekly payroll processing. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, accurate, comfortable working with confidential information, and able to meet deadlines in a busy office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

  • Enter and process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
  • Enter customer invoices and accounts receivable transactions when needed
  • Match invoices with supporting documentation and purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records
  • Assist with invoice questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare information needed for payments and customer follow-up
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

Payroll Processing

  • Assist with biweekly payroll through Paycor
  • Enter and verify payroll adjustments, deductions, and other payroll-related information
  • Assist with payroll-related questions 
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information
General Accounting & Office Support
  • Assist with daily accounting tasks 
  • Assist HR with employee documentation and electronic file maintenance as needed
  • Assist with month-end accounting activities when needed
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, employees, and internal departments
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, process mail, and provide general office support when needed
  • Perform other related accounting duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or payroll experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Ability to meet recurring payroll and accounting deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Paycor, Sage, or Synchro is a plus
  • Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience is helpful but not required
